How to Download Twitch VOD Videos

 Twitch streamers and viewers often like to download videos of their favorite broadcasts and either store them locally or upload them to another service such as YouTube. This article explains how to save Twitch videos on demand (VODs) to your computer.



How to Download Your Twitch Broadcasts

Twitch streamers can download their previous broadcasts from the Twitch website. Depending on whether you're a regular user, Twitch Affiliate, or Twitch Partner, your window for downloading previous broadcasts varies between 14 to 60 days after the initial stream. After this, the video will auto-delete.




ENABLE AUTO-ARCHIVING

You can tell Twitch to save your broadcasts automatically with a single switch. Here's where to find it.



On the Twitch website, select the drop-down menu in the upper-right corner and select Settings.


Select Channel and Videos.


Turn on Store past broadcasts.


Your future broadcasts will save to your profile once they finish.


DOWNLOAD YOUR VIDEOS

After you turn on archiving, you can download broadcasts after you finish streaming.



On the homepage, select Video Producer in the menu under your profile picture.


On the next page, click the More menu to the right of the video you want to save.


Select Download to save the video to your computer.


How to Download Someone Else's Twitch Videos

After the installation is complete, open Twitch Leecher.


Select the Search bar in the top menu.


Navigate to the Twitch channel and select Videos.


Right-click the video you want to download. Then, select Copy Link Address.


Go back to Twitch Leecher and select the Urls tab.
